Who we are

Hi! My name is Hailey Lander. I am the creator of bird design.

I am currently an Industrial Design senior at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Design has been a passion of mine from a young age. As a child, my best friend was a small bear I affectionately called “Baby Bear.” Together, we embarked on unforgettable adventures - soaring in a hot air balloon made of popsicle sticks, riding in her personal sleigh created from pipe cleaners, or lounging in a chair fashioned from bobby pins. She was truly living the dream.

I have been a designer my entire life. But now, I want to design for you. My aspiration is to rehumanize design that cultivates relationships with people. How can we create products that are more human, so people can feel more human? We are a part of an age of confusion, isolation, and uncertainty. I am looking to combat that with joy, playfulness, kindness, and interaction.

I have also been a team player my entire life. I recently completed my soccer career as a 2-year unanimously voted team captain of the Savannah College of Art and Design Women’s Soccer team. We won the program’s first NAIA National Championship title in 2024 during our first appearance in the national tournament. I am so proud of the family we built! None of it would have been possible without the painstaking collaborative effort to build a culture of perseverance, belief, and positivity. I look forward to the future teams that I will have the privilege to be a part of.
